Shoes - Then & Now

Whether you are a fashionista stylish person or a simplistic one, shoes are a necessity.

Gone are the days when people used to have only one pair of shoes. Today, each person has more than 4 pair of footwear. These can be footwear to wear at home (easy & casual), to what you wear for different seasons of the year.

Today, people are not only very fashion conscious but also very brand focused. They want different styles of shoes for different occasions of multiple brands. People look for comfortable wear but not necessarily long lasting one given the ever changing fashions.

An average consumer spends more than $50 on a pair of shoes.

There are companies that are focused on multiple needs of consumers' footwear. Like the Nike's, Adidas, etc focusing on the sports. Retailers like Kohl's and Macy's focusing on the needs of average consumers providing daily wear to office wear to occasion based footwear.

This blog is formed to specially focus on Indian Ethic Women Sandals!!

cultural footwear

So beautiful and elegant, that look extremely well co-ordinated with Indian ethnic dresses like the Kurtis (tunics), salwar kameez (long tunic with loose botttoms) and the sarees.

Indian Sandals have been very popular in India, and recently gaining a lot of traction in countries outside India as well, primarily due to their styles and comfort.

In the next blog I will focus on what kind of dresses do these Indian sandals go well with.
